Lausanne Hospitality Consulting SA (LHC) is part of EHL Group, a group that encompasses a portfolio of specialized business units that deliver hospitality management education and innovation worldwide. LHC is a consulting and executive training company in hospitality, active in more than 30 countries, which supports the development of the hospitality industry. The company has been going through a rapid growth in the past 10 years, setting up offices in China-Beijing and Shanghai-and India-New Delhi.

For 2019 and the five years to come, LHC is striving to boost its business development in all lines of businesses, for its Swiss, China and India offices but also through the development of a network of free-standing consultants who could develop a physical LHC office in targeted regions – Middle East, Eastern part of Europe, Africa, South America – once the business volume is large enough.

LHC is therefore seeking for talents, which have either international hospitality management experience or proven consulting experience with the capacity to acquire, close and deliver deals.

Line of Business: Vocational Education & Training

Our mission

Vocational Education & Training is a licensing model, combining our learning centres development approach in easy to consume blocks for advisory, learning content and quality assurance. For Licensed centres, it provides access to world-class course content, management support and faculty training. For the students, it provides benchmark certificate and diploma vocational education and training, with access to an international alumni network.

 

The VET initiative is focused on Food & Beverage Service, Rooms, Kitchen and Administration and is built in a modular way around the same competencies as the Swiss dual vocational education system.

 

Responsibilities

  • Play an active role in the quality assurance with new or existing licensed training centres:
    • Initial Audits of to-be licensed centres to establish coherence with Lausanne licensing standards;
    • Ongoing quality audits of existing licensed training centres in terms of academic quality, management & facilities;
    • Reporting & Recommendation filing;
  • Deliver Train-The-Trainer programmes in different regions:
    • Delivery of Train-The-Trainer modules to trainers & management of new and established training centres;
    • Assessments & grading of participant groups of up to 15 Pax;
    • Reporting & Feedback filing for Lausanne Headquarters;
  • Support clients through Advisory services in close collaboration with Lausanne headquarters and country offices:
    • Guide clients through implementation of licensing standards;
    • Support local clients through ad-hoc management or academic advisory & trainings;
  • Live Feedback culture to support the Lausanne headquarters in continuous product improvement;

Location

  • China (Beijing or Shanghai)

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in relevant fields (economics, business administration, tourism, hospitality) or equivalent degree;
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience;
  • Extensive experience in the education field. Relation to the hospitality context is a must;
  • Totally fluent in local language as well as excellent communication skills in English;
  • Proven experience of qualifications in training are a plus.
