Lausanne Hospitality Consulting SA (LHC) is part of EHL Group, a group that encompasses a portfolio of specialized business units that deliver hospitality management education and innovation worldwide. LHC is a consulting and executive training company in hospitality, active in more than 30 countries, which supports the development of the hospitality industry. The company has been going through a rapid growth in the past 10 years, setting up offices in China-Beijing and Shanghai-and India-New Delhi.

For 2019 and the five years to come, LHC is striving to boost its business development in all lines of businesses, for its Swiss, China and India offices but also through the development of a network of free-standing consultants who could develop a physical LHC office in targeted regions – Middle East, Eastern part of Europe, Africa, South America – once the business volume is large enough.

LHC is therefore seeking for talents, which have either international hospitality management experience or proven consulting experience with the capacity to acquire, close and deliver deals.

Line of Business: Education Advisory Services and EHL Certification

Our mission

We have helped investors around the globe to develop more than 30 learning centres in the past 30 years. Education Advisory Services and EHL certification involve the development of educational institutions (green field or existing institution). Our services includes academic advisory services, strategy definition, faculty development and training, as well as curriculum design, to clients and partners in the broader ASIAPAC region.

 

The EHL Certification Scheme is a quality assurance framework designed to support institutions in the delivery of excellence in hospitality education. Belonging to the Scheme will signal the institutional commitment to excellence in the delivery of hospitality education.

 

Responsibilities

  • Proven understanding of education management and/or academic certification processes;
  • Participate in business development and sales: prospect and develop activities targeting Consulting and certification line of business, with a long term focus;
  • Negotiate long term contracts with Governments and investors and other relevant stakeholders
  • Manage your own mandates and clients, which involves international travels;
  • Give support to senior consultants as well as directors;
  • Participate in evaluating potential leads for the company;
  • Formulate, prepare and defend business proposals;
  • Design a strategy aimed at marketing the services of the line of business
  • Convert leads using a consultative approach with the team and the client;
  • Provide guidance and technical advisory to clients;
  • Train and coach junior staff members;
  • Supervise, conduct and oversee Learning centres’ development assignments such as gap analysis, business plan, curriculum design, Train the trainer programs, due diligence, change management or management teams coaching.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in relevant fields (economics, business administration, tourism, hospitality) or equivalent degree;
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience;
  • Knowledge of management consulting practices and/or the hospitality industry, asset development and management;
  • Totally fluent in local language as well as excellent communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of education management dynamics;
  • Relevant international professional experience;
  • Project management consulting exposure, including project design expertise;
