HIT Scholars in Lausanne

For the second consecutive year, LHC conduct a 3-day programme dedicated to the future stars of the Scottish hospitality industry. From the 28 to the 30 November 2011, the LHC team welcomed students coming from different hospitality schools of Scotland and their professors on the Campus of Ecole Hoteličre de Lausanne.

The programme included elements of Business protocol, cross cultural awareness and global hospitality trends.

During their visit to Lausanne, the participants enjoyed delicious food during a lunch at the gastronomic restaurant of EHL, Le Berceau des Sens. They also had the opportunity to visit a typical Swiss vineyard at Domaine de Daley where different production processes were explained and different wines and grape varieties tested. The group also discover the Savoir-Faire of the Swiss hospitality industry while visiting the prestigious Beau-Rivage Palace and the Campus of Ecole hôteličre de Lausanne.

The result of this experience was a real success:

“Thank you, the experience has been unbelievable. I will remember my trip always. SUPERB!”- Philip Glasgow

“An absolutely superb visit of discoveries, experiences and memories. Thank you all for your friendship and hospitality” Duncan Campbell

It was also a very good opportunity for me to learn more about the specificities of the Scottish expressions, and has we say in Glosgow: it was a “Pure Dead Brillant” experience for us also!
